For instance, many people would like to witness the committal. In this case, we would recommend opting for our Enhanced Direct Cremation service, which would ensure that the funeral director would be in attendance to assist you.

Direct Cremation Prices in Battle

For a more affordable cremation in Battle, direct cremation is one of the low cost funeral options offered by Towners Funeral Directors. The cost for a basic direct cremation begins from £784.00 to offer a dignified yet simple funeral alternative.

For the enhanced direct cremation at our Battle branch prices start from £1,265.00. This will cover the use of a hearse (instead of a closed van) to convey the coffin to the crematorium, a modest wood veneer coffin rather than a basic lamboard coffin and a piece of music for the committal. To oversee, advise and assist you, the attendance of a funeral director at the crematorium is also included.

Cremation ceremony

Whilst here is no ceremony or a funeral service included in direct cremation, some may choose to have a separate Ceremony of Thanksgiving or Memorial Service without the body. This provides the opportunity for family and friends to celebrate the life of the deceased.

After the direct cremation, the ashes are returned to the family for the scattering of ashes at a Memorial Service or do to with as they wish.
