The Funeral service took place at St Marks Church on Monday 16th December 2024 at 1pm. This was followed by a private committal for family and invited friends. Afterwards there was a reception at the Poppy Club. This did not start until the family returned from the committal, but the room was accessible while it takes place. 

The committal service will be live streamed, and accessible for 7 days afterwards.

Burial was at2pm on 11th December 2024.

Please go directly to the woodland burial site at Hastings Cemetery, 234 The Ridge, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 2AE.

There will not be any chapel service. Please bring wellies. For those with mobility issues, this is not an accessible area.

Michael will have a personalised coffin and if anyone wants to draw/paint or write a message/ poem that Candice and others can glue on, we’d love that. Please ensure whatever you use is biodegradable. You can email Claire and deliver to Candice or his parents’ home before 9.12.24.

Bring 1 flower or leaf from your garden to throw in the grave. This cannot have any ribbon, wire etc as it needs to be biodegradable. You can also bring some wildflower seeds to throw in or surrounding area.

You are welcome to both or either venue. No black attire.
